Rhinoplasty

When I was a small child about the age of 5-10 years old. I usually watch kung fu movies with my dad. He love the fight scenes and the martial arts expertise of the actors. So when I was in college I took up taekwondo lessons and gradually I got a black belt but just before my final duel, my opponent accidentally kicked my nose and the bridge of my nose was broken. I was rushed in the hospital and I had a rhinoplasty. A nose surgery was needed badly during that time. After ten years I got married and after five years of having a childless family, I finally got pregnant. My husband and I were so happy and excited for our first baby. When my boy was born, I couldn’t take my hands off our only child. He would sleep with us in our bed. One fateful day, my child was three years old and he was sound asleep beside me in bed one night, when he had a nightmare and begun kicking. I came to his side abruptly and I didn’t able to shield my face from his kick. He kicked me very hard and the next thing I felt was a stabbing pain in my nose. I was again rushed in the hospital and had a nose surgery revision.

After the surgery, small burst of blood vessels appeared as tiny red spots on my skin’s surface but my surgeon said it was minor but permanent. A splint was applied externally to maintain the newly shaped bony structure after the surgery. But no matter what happen to me, no matter how swollen and painful my nose is, I still love my son more than any thing in the world.
