Fast Cars
My colleagues and I have decided to apply for car loans after signing our yearly salary adjustment. And last week the loan was released and no sooner I was able to drive home my new Eclipse. On the first weekend after acquiring my new car, I drove around town with my flashy car. And it happened one Sunday afternoon I was having a leisure trip with my car when a sharp rock hit the rear of my car. Infuriated, I stepped down on my car and inspected the damage. The dent in my car was so deep, it made an ugly flaw . I looked around for the one who have threw the sharp rock and what I see somewhat shock me. Only a few feet from my car was a frail looking boy and horror was spread all over his face. I approached him and asked him if he was the one who throw the ball. He nodded slowly. Keeping my temper, I asked him why did he do it, and I also told him I will have him in jail for what he did. Tears fell from his face as he tried to apologize.
He then told me his mother was badly ill and nobody would want to help them. I asked him to bring me to his mother. I followed him in an alley leading to the bridge. Just almost beneath the bridge was a small house, if it can be called a house, made of plywoods and craps. Inside was his mother lying like a dead meat in the carton covered earth. I rushed her to the nearest hospital and paid the bills, I even talked to the hospital administrator that I will pay the bills they will be incurring just make sure she will go home free from the sickness. Before I left, the boy thanked me and offered his few pennies as an exchange for my help. I got his pennies because that would mean appreciation and took him to the grocery, bought food for him and his mom and medicines as well. I assured him I will be back to visit his mom and all he need to do is keep the faith and take good care of his mom. The dent in my new car reminds me of the heroism of a boy for his mom and never did I try to correct the flaw in my car.
